Vice President Harris announces the historic six-month expansion of the Child Tax Credit, which significantly increased the amount of the credit, made it fully refundable, paid monthly, and was automatically deposited into the bank accounts of millions of Americans. 3.7 million children were temporarily lifted out of poverty, food insufficiency dropped by 25%, while unemployment dropped by 33% during the months it was distributed.
